artikel in memoriam:
van 1872 tot 1968: JESSE DUDLEY HALL, beloved husband of the late Magdalen Bethia Wiley Hall of Raymond, passed away on December 14, 1968 at the age of 96 years. Mr. Hall was born in Windom, Minnesota and came to Canada in the spring of 1909 to the Stirling area. His first business in Canada was land breaking. He had learned to break sod when in Wisconsin, so he knew how to do it. Much of the land east to Wrentham and south to Luck Strike was broken by J.D. Hall credit. He operated a farm 15 miles northeast of there until 1916 when he moved into Raymond. He farmed south of Raymond, operated a steam thresher, opened an implement shop, and was a dealer for J. I. Case, Cockshut, and Renfew Stoves, until 1940 when he retired. He was an active member of the United Church in Raymond and was instrumental in the construction and maintenance of the latter. Mr. Hall was very active and took part in all the community affairs in Raymond. For the past six years he has resided in the Ridge View Lodge.
Preceased by his wife, Magdalen on October 1, 1946 and by two sons, Irvin and Dudley. Mr Hall is survived by one son, Frank George of Raymond; one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Veen of Raymond; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held in the Raymond 2nd Ward Chapel on Saturday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m. with Councilor Brent Jensen officiating. Interment in Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, AB. bron: find agrave/Obituary
