2015 : Ann B. Newland, 81, of Everett, Wash. passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, August 17, 2015. Born June 8, 1934 to Arthur and Margaret Thelma Alleckson Brothen in Fergus Falls, Minn., she graduated from Everett High School. She had worked for Scott paper and later retired from Newland Construction Co. Her bright smile, cheeky humor, straight talk and lovely presence will be missed. Ann was a fiercely loyal friend and a fun, supportive, loving parent, grandparent, great-grand parent. Among her many activities, Ann was a long time member of the Everett Golf and Country Club, Assistance League, Everett Women’s Book Club, Puget Sound Kidney Auxiliary, as well as her exercise and breakfast groups. Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ben Newland; parents, Art and Margaret Brothen; brother, Gerald Brothen and sister, Thressa (Tess) Gagan. She is loved and missed by daughter and husband and their children; son and partner, and his children; great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her big brother, and his wife, and his family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy at 1702 Pacific Avenue in Everett, WA. In bron: FindAGrave
