1964 : Mrs. John (Anna) Volkers, 73, of 509 Michigan Ave., died Tuesday [2-6-1964] evening following a lingering ilness. She Spent most of her life in Holland and was a charter member of Faith Christian Reformed Church, a mamber of Amity League and Ladies Aid of faith Church. She was a member of the Eunice Aid Society of the Holland Christian Schools. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. William (Gladys) Beckman Jr of Holland and Mrs. Martin (Lois) Stegink of grundy Center, Iowa; a son, Jay Volkers of Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren. One brother, Edward J. Smith of Holland, and two sistgers-in-law, Mrs Henry Casemir of grand Haven and Mrs. Arend Smith of Holland. Funeral services will be held at Friday 2:30 pm from the Faith Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Steenstra officiating.
