1980 : ZEELAND- Mrs Otto (Christine) Vander Plaats, 91, formerly of 23 Taft St. died early Christmas Day in Zeeland Hospital following a short illness.
She was a member of First Christian Reformad Church, its priscilla Society and Hannah School Circle and assisted at the World Home Bible League in Zeeland. She had been employed at Du Mez in Holland for 20 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Elmer (Grace) Plaggemars and Mrs. Norman (Hester) Buursma, both of Holland; a son, Jay Vander Plaats of Zeeland; a daughetr-in-law, Mrs Peter (Alice) Vander Plaats of Jenison; 14 grandchildren; a brother, John Volkers; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Jean Volkers and Mrs. John (Gertrude) Vander Weide, both of Zeeland.
Funeral serices will be held at the Yntema Funerl Home Saturday at 1:20 pm. with Rev. Esler Shuart officiating. Burial will be in Zeeland cemetery. bron: Holland Sentinel (?) van 26-12-1980
