2010 : IN MEMORIAM Gordon Kroll
WARREN — Gordon R. Kroll, 83, of Yankee Drummer Drive, entered into the eternal arms of God on Wednesday, March 31, after a short illness. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years,

Cheryl Advantis of Lunenburg,
David Kroll of Worcester,
Sandra LaRose of New Hampshire,
Carol Knapp of Oxford,
Mary Titus of West Boylston,
David Fields of Worcester,
Richard Fields of Worcester,
John Fields of Lunenburg and
Donna Fields of Oxford;
a brother, Warren Kroll of Springfield;
a sister, Alice O’Neil of California; 16 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Kroll, of Forks, Wash., who died in 1984. He was born in Whitinsville, the son of the late Stewart and Bernice (Sweet) Kroll, and lived in Warren for the past 25 years.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the United Steel Workers of America.

Mr. Kroll worked at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester for 12 years, retiring in 1997. Previously, he worked for Crompton and Knowles in Worcester for 33 years. He enjoyed his large family gatherings, fishing, playing different card games, watching the Red Sox and Westerns on cable, traveling to California and Las Vegas and dining out.

A funeral service will be private. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. Paradis Funeral Home, Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
