2007 : Mrs. Elizabeth (Nunes) Alexandre, age 93, of 418 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, 7 Creek Lane, Bristol.
She was the wife of the late Evo Alexandre, Sr. Born in Dighton, MA and raised in Taunton, MA she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Adelaide (Freitas) Nunes.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Avelino and Ceasar Nunes, and three sisters, Isabelle Costa, Ruth Andrade and Mary Gray.
A resident of Bristol for 77 years, she was a Textile Worker for many years for the former Premier Thread Co., in Bristol retiring in 1972. She had previously worked at the former Carr-Fulflex Co. and the former Collins and Aikman Co. Mrs. Alexandre was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church, Bristol and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She was a volunteer for many years at the Benjamin Church Senior Citizens Center and she loved traveling.
She is survived by two sons, Evo Alexandre, Jr. and his wife, Martina of Moraga, CA and Charles Alexandre and his wife, Amrie of Bristol, four grandchildren, Charles R. Alexandre of Providence, Ellen E. Alexandre of Swansea, MA, Thomas G. Alexandre and his wife Mary, of Bristol and David J. Alexandre and his wife Cindy, of Warren, six great grandchildren, Katherine E. and Christopher J. Godet, Lea M., Jocelyn A., Tess E. and Caroline B. Alexandre. bron: FindAGrave
